Positive Aspects of Being a Transgender Kentuckian

This professionally produced film builds on an evaluation project that found that creating and viewing positive narratives increases well-being in trans-identified young adults. The film will feature transgender community members in Kentucky who will share their personal narratives about their positive identities. The film will be used to provide transgender role models and strengths-based narratives to transgender young people and to educate professional service providers (educators, youth leaders, mental health workers, health care providers) in strengths-based and affirming perspectives on transgender youth. The film will be disseminated widely in an online format and used in professional training workshops.
