Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The Kentucky Youth Development Partnership (KYDP), a public/private partnership of approximately 25 key youth development stakeholders is the leadership infrastructure at the state level for the project. The vision for this partnership is "Youth are respected, valued, and have access to the resources, opportunities and support they need to be healthy and successful." The Positive Youth Development State and Local Collaboration Demonstration Project has assisted in the continuation of the state partnership and will strengthen the local partnership by providing the wherewithal for translating state successes to the local level. The KYDP is currently composed of approximately twenty-five state and local youth serving organizations. The partnership has formed a task force that is charged with the leadership of the project and maintenance of the strategic plan to promote positive youth development and collaboration of youth services in Kentucky at all levels. The purpose of the grant is to help Kentucky to explore new collaborative relationships with local communities that will prove effective in increasing the number and array of positive development opportunities available to young people.
