    Description

    In keeping with the evaluation plan for the PASS project, formative and summative evaluation activities to this point in the project's first year focused on gathering baseline data, documenting the quality and outcomes of the project's professional development activities, and looking for indicators of early influence on participants. Evaluation activities conducted to-date include a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods: o Participant questionnaires to gather baseline information on attitudes, perceptions, and practices relative to teaching and science program leadership o Participant feedback and reflection forms to document participant perceptions of the quality and effectiveness of project activities. o Observations of a sample of project activities to provide additional data on quality and implementation o Focus group and individual interviews to gather feedback from a participants, project personnel, and project partners regarding project activities and impact o Examination of project-collected data and artifacts, including participant products and other records of project work
