Description
The proposed project will prepare primary care providers to practice in and lead transforming healthcare systems aimed at improving the triple aims of access, quality, and cost effectiveness of care. Trainees will learn to address health disparities in medical and behavioral health, through clinic and population based analysis of triple aims outcomes, and to apply transformational methodologies to improve clinical services accordingly. This collaborative project with the UK College of Nursing will train medical students, family medicine residents, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Masters of Social Work (MSW) students, and will also prepare faculty to teach these learners. This training will occur in and prepare trainees for care for underserved populations in urban and rural areas.
