Kentucky Procurement and Technical Assistance Program Proposal Submitted by the Kentucky Small Business Development Center, University of Kentucky The Kentucky Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) is seeking to develop a statewide Procurement and Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) under the Defense Logistics Agency's Funding Opportunity Number "DLA-20130412-Kentucky". The Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) will provide assistance to businesses in the marketing of their products and services to Federal, state and local governments. Kentucky's small businesses will receive support in the preparation and engagement in the procurement process. Procurement specialists will work with Kentucky businesses to understand the government procurement market potential for their services and products; reduce the barriers inherent in government contracting; and assist existing government contractors with market expansion. The DLA requires a dollar for dollar match for the federal funds. KSBDC has match commitments from the Cabinet for Economic Development, ($100,000), Lexington Fayette Urban County Government ($63,537), and Greater Louisville Inc.($3,580). The main PTAP office will be in Lexington with a satellite office in Louisville (in-kind provided by GLI). Statewide services will be provided through circuit rides and using online meeting technology. PTAP Services to be offered: 1. Individual Counseling 2. Government Procurement Workshops 3. Government Market Research and Marketing Strategies 4. Certifications and Registrations 5. Policies and Regulations (FAR, Supplements, DCAA, DCMA, etc) 6. Bid Match Opportunities 7. Bid and Proposal Assistance
