Grants and Contracts Details

This project will pursue a validity study of the program review tools developed by KDE for three curricular subjects including Arts and Humanities, Practical Living and Career Studies, and Writing, based on the concept of logical validity. The adoption of this conceipt into this project means that this project will examine how adequately schools use a program review tool (e.g., Arts & Humanities) to (self) evaluate a certain Demonstrator (e.g., Student Access) of a certain assessment Area (e.g., Curriculum and Instruction) in terms of program review tools. In plainer language, this project will examine how well a program review tool is able to do its job, or how well a program review tool enables schools to do their job. This task, therefore, links this project directly to the verification review process at the state level as mandated by Senate Bill 1.
