Description
This proposal, in response to the RFP issued by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE), is to conduct a project to inform the revisions to the existing Graduate Educational Standards required of Rehabilitation Counseling Education (RCE) programs. The project is designed to capture the depth and breadth of the rehabilitation counseling profession by conducting surveys of stakeholders, including students, lawmakers, educators, practitioners, and employers, to identify the skills necessary for graduates from CORE-accredited programs to perform the functions of their job. This proposal presents plans for developing and maintaining a project management system to track project activities, data, documentation, and timelines; proposes data collection instruments with qualitative and quantitative components; describes data analysis and reporting methods. The project will result in specific standard recommendations for revising the CORE graduate accreditation standards, and developing the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling standards.
