Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The proposed archaeological and historic structures studies are designed to provide all parties concerned with an idea of the nature and extent of significant cultural resources, both below-and above-ground, that are located within the boundaries of Eastern State Hospital. This information is needed by all parties to make informed decisions on how to develop this property. How many graves need to be relocated? Are significant archeological deposits relating to the Eastern State Hospital located on this property? Which buildings are the most significant? And of these, which can be preserved and adaptively reused? With the baseline data collected during the course of these studies, these and other questions should be answered, which will permit all parties to make informed decisions concerning the future ofthe Eastern State Hospital property.
