Public Involvement Plan for I-71 Widening--Federal Aid Research Task No. 134

Qk4 is engaged to provide the Preliminary Engineering and Environmental study for the widening of Interstate 71 ITom 1-64 at the Kennedy Interchange through the interchange with 1- 265, in Jefferson County, KY. This includes the delivery of a Public Involvement Plan. The University of Kentucky Transportation Center has been asked to provide assistance to Qk4 in the design and delivery of the public involvement plan for this project. The Center's particular strengths lie in the creation of Structured Public Involvement protocols that integrate public preferences into complex planning and design questions. The Center has reviewed the draft Public Involvement Plan and provides the following proposal as regards how it might best support this effort.
