OBJECTIVES:
Continuation of an Approved Study
Anticipated Completion: FY 12
1. Determine Ground Penetrating Radars ability to accurately quantify delaminated and un sound
concrete on bridge decks prior to bidding.
2. Provide an easy mechanism for identifying areas on bridge decks that need to be removed and
repaired for bidding pu rposes. (2-dimensional map of the bridge deck)
3. Conduct a cost/benefit analys is of using this ty pe of technology versus conventional methods
to determine repair quantities
