OBJECTIVES: The obj ectives of this project are as follows: I. Review the CUITent state of practice for subgrade modificat ion of various agencies, including potential cost savings and structural perfOlll1ance. 2. Evaluate, cost, constructability, and strength of various subgrade stab ilizati on techniques, including chemical modification, undercut with aggregate replacement, and aggregate base with geogrids. 3. Revi ew current pavement desi gn process to identi fy potential areas to refine des igns to reduce overall pavement cost. 4. Develop project se lection guidelines and specifications for subgrade stabili zation, based on proj ect type, and potential cost benefit
