SCOPE OF WORK
Southeast AIDS Educa on and Training Center (SE AETC) and the University of Kentucky
The Scope of Work for the Southeast AIDS Educa on and Training Center (SE AETC) partnership between
Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the University of Kentucky, spanning from July 1, 2024, to June
30, 2029, ar culates a comprehensive plan to bolster the HIV clinical workforce, promote
interprofessional educa on, and advance prac ce transforma on. Subrecipients are entrusted with
cri cal responsibili es, including ac ve par cipa on in monthly teleconferences, prompt data
submission to moXse, and the submission of detailed monthly narra ve reports outlining impact
statements and training details. Furthermore, subrecipients are required to contribute to the
development of joint curricula, coordinate speaker presenta ons, ac vely promote events, and
strengthen rela onships with healthcare organiza ons.
The Subrecipient Core AETC Program Requirements emphasize networking, training, and educa onal
outreach to enhance the skills of the HIV clinical workforce. Partners are expected to o?er didac c and
skill-building events, clinical preceptorships, and conferences while ac vely engaging with medical
schools and health centers. The Interprofessional Educa on (IPE) Program Requirements call for the
forma on of student teams, ongoing evalua ons, and communica on of posi ve impact stories. The
Central O?ce assumes a pivotal role in providing guidance, collabora on, and accredita on. Addi onally,
it coordinates mee ngs, reviews partner spending, and con nues to innovate through the Strategic
Learning Innova on Team. The Subrecipient Prac ce Transforma on Expansion (PTE) Program
Requirements focus on champion selec on, baseline surveys, capacity building, and the transi on of
health centers to sustainable prac ces. In summary, this Scope of Work underscores a comprehensive
