Regional Difference in Phenology May Affect Biological Control Efforts Targeting EAB

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Abstract EAB Phenology Along a latitudinal gradient, we're evaluating emerald ash borer (EAB) development, parasitoid development, parasitization rates, and EAB mortality factors. We're sampling at ~38° N latitude and ~40° N latitude, and using published data from ~42° N latitude, to measure and compare EAB development, parasitization rates, and other mortality factors to determine the effectiveness of parasitoid releases. This data will be useful in developing site-specific prescriptions for classical biological control releases.
