Description
The primary objective of this study is to understand
bisexual women’s expectations of their romantic relationships and how these expectations differ
depending on the sex of their partner. We could find no published study that has explored
bisexual women’s expectations of their relationships and how those expectations might differ
depending on their partner’s sex. The lived experiences of bisexual women have much to
contribute to broader understandings about sex, gender, and intimate relationships. The findings
from this qualitative study may provide new insights into theoretically important constructs about
gender roles and relationships while also expanding our knowledge about the lived experiences
of an understudied population.
