Through the University of Kentucky Research Foundation, Dr. Jose De Leone shall provide the following services to the Department for Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services: Long-term objectives: 1. Decrease length of stay for polypharmacy patients in general and treatment-resistant patients in particular at Eastern State Hospital. 2. Develop a cfinical workforce for state hospitals trained in research-based patient care. Deliverables: 1. Research-based clinical consultation as follows: (a) Provide "grand rounds" consultation to the medical staffs of Western, Central, and Eastern State Hospitals and to the psychiatric staff of ARH-Hazard. (b) Participate in "mortality reviews" conducted by the Department. (c) Consult with the Department on specific cases as requested by the Commissioner, DMHMRS, or her designee. b. Training: Supervise eight medical resident positions who rotate through Eastern State Hospital for research-based psychiatric training for patient care. The Second Party shall submit invoices along with reports outlining with specificity all activity relating to the deliverables outlined above. Reports shall be submitted to and deemed acceptable by the Commissioner, DMHMRS, or her designee, as a requirement of payment. Reports and invoices shall be due within 30 days of the end of each calendar quarter, along with an invoice for that [quarter.
