Description
The work will focus on the delivery of the solvent extraction frame work. As leaching solution
purification is required prior to EW. This work is to identify a suitable extractant other than Lix-26 owing
to its carcinogenic properties and develop equilibrium concentration isotherms to design the number of
stages and circuitry needed for the purification of the leachate. The output will be a SX flowsheet and a
MATLAB model predicting purity and byproduct concentrations achieved.
