Description
The objectives ofthis research are:
(1)
Inspect the KY218 Bridge~ determine the cause of cracks, and design the retrofit using the high strength steel reinforced polymer fibers
(2)
Retrofit the bridge by externally bonding the high strength steel reinforced polymer to strengthen the cracked prestressed concrete AASHTO Type IV girders. Following crack injection, the SRP fabric will be the existing bridge spans.
(3)
Monitor and evaluate the perfonnance ofthe bridge retrofit for three years.
