Description

This is a request for an REU supplement to support the research of three undergraduate students. The undergraduate interns, Ms. Ricelle Gibson, Ms. Sasha Carrasco, and Ms. Benitaah Basse for whom funds are requested will perform independent research projects that work towards the completion of a portion of the NSF-funded project (IOS2131400) related to understanding conservation of defense associated chemical signals in diverse plants. Ms. Ricelle Gibson and Ms. Sasha Carrasco are from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), primarily an undergraduate institution. Ms. Basse is a minority student enrolled in Agricultural and Medical Biotechnology program at University of Kentucky (UK).
