Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Dr. Hobbs lab group intends to use the knowledge gained to better operate the LC-MS/MS and enhance
research capacity at University of Kentucky by making the lab group more competitive for external funding. This experience
will equip our lab with the necessary skills needed to model and detect glyphosate and similar polar pesticides in other
regions of Kentucky and the U.S. In addition, Dr. Hobbs has an ongoing collaboration with the Government of Belize
investigating priority pesticides, such as glyphosate. The knowledge gained from the proposed research activities will assist
Dr. Hobbs’ group with analyzing and environmental samples from Belize and using the results to model glyphosate
concentrations in rudimentary drinking water systems.
