RISE Year 3 (CED Funds)

This project is a UK subaward under the Kentucky Innovation Regional Office (KIRO) program (fka “RISE”) funded by the KY Cabinet for Economic Development. The Awesome Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE) is the prime awardee for the Lexington region. The KIRO program provides funding to support development of a vibrant startup ecosystem and to facilitate programming and services for the benefit of entrepreneurs and startups. UK OTC clients include UK startups formed to commercialize UK IP, including programming and services provided by UK OTC’s New Ventures team. As partners in StartupLex and the Bluegrass Business Development Partnership (BBDP), UK serves clients in the Lexington region and throughout Kentucky and is a leader in fostering the startup ecosystem. Specific initiatives include: UKAccel, UKPitch, MIR, CATalyst, Launch Blue, SPARK, GEW, Startup Breakfast, StartupLex, BBDP, and BGA.
