Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Abstract RSF 131, Kentucky CDL Advisory Committee Partnership Enhancement and Expansion Project This project would address at least three of the FMCSA’s national priorities for CDLPI Basic Grants. The project would support correction and mitigation of Kentucky’s CDL regulatory compliance findings by establishing a data quality working group to analyze those findings and develop correction and mitigation protocols. The enhanced data quality monitoring and analysis efforts described in the project narrative would help Kentucky improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of CDLIS- required data elements to maintain the highest possible quality of all CDL data, to include correcting broken and missing CDLIS pointers, submitting all convictions as required by § 384.209 within 10 days, and correcting CDLIS transaction errors in a timely manner. The project also supports an SDLA’s partnership efforts that lead to enhancing SDLA compliance with 49 CFR parts 383 and 384. IV. OBJECTIVES • Hold regular meetings of the Kentucky CDL Advisory Committee and conduct an annual strategic planning meeting • Recruit potential Kentucky CDL Advisory Committee members and get new stakeholders to join the committee • Conduct research on possible technology enhancements to existing CDL administration technologies and workflow solutions • Commence a CDL data quality working group to work on more comprehensive analysis of CDL-related data quality issues • Coordinate increased communication and reporting about existing CDLPI projects and timelines
