S- and P- Wave Velocity Measurements at Seismic Network Expansion Sites

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Realistic determination of site response and modleing of eartquake induced ground motions at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and vicinity cannot be accurately archieved withour a reliable P- and S-wave seismic velocity model at the netowrk observation sites. Therefore the objective of this investigation is to provide a measured P-and S-wave velocity model at each of the netowrk expansion sties by combinging data from in situ seismic relection/refraction walkaway and seismic downhole surveys.
