Description

To strengthen Kentucky's rural economies by empowering small businesses and entrepreneurs to capitalize on opportunities through technical assistance focused on providing one-on-one consulting, training, and informational resources. Objectives: 1) Provide access to data and expertise for small businesses 2) Provide technical assistance by delivering custom services, based on identified needs, to small businesses 3) Continue to implement Kentucky's first and only Economic Gardening program emphasizing growth oriented businesses We propose providing personalized, tailored advising services on the needs of each business. Trained staff will work one-on-one with business owners, offering guidance on how to implement recommendations. Workshops will be provided that address startup and business management issues. KSBDC will work closely with the SBA Louisville District Office to coordinate services. Services will be provided through 13 centers and six sub-awards. The awards include; Northern Kentucky University (NKU), Western Kentucky University (WKU), Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), Morehead State University, Murray State University and Southeast Community and Technical College.
