Description

The evaluation unit of the Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky (UK) will provide research and technical assistance services to the leadership and staff of the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities (CCDD). As such, the services include: Collaborating with CCDD leadership to identify research questions; Conducting literature review, background search on research areas; Developing and disseminating reports detailing the results of research activities; Developing and disseminating abridged brief highlight research results; Developing and administering research instruments if needed; Participating in meetings and facilitating conversations related to the reports; Providing technical assistance to the CCDD leadership through formal reports as well as through other communication channels like email, phone. This project will also provide Policy Position and Communications Position to assist CCDD in carrying out educational and information dissemination activities. The advocacy component of this project will provide leadership in development of advocacy training materials and toolkit. The transportation component will build on previous HDI pilot efforts to enhance transportation options for Kentuckians with disabilities. Finally, video efforts around employment will be coordinated through this project.
