Scope: Sarah Lyon: Confucius Institute Faculty International Travel Grant

In June of 2019, I will travel to Kunming, China to attend and present at the International Conference on Business Anthropology, which will be hosted by Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. In addition to presenting a paper at the conference (on Gender, Globalization, and Business Anthropology), I will also give one to two talks at universities in this region and meet with Anthropology faculty there (we are in the process of finalizing these plans). In addition, I will meet with the China-based editors of the International Journal of Business Anthropology (I am a member of the journal’s editorial board) to discuss collaborative publishing opportunities and future conference topics.
