The objectives of this study are: 1) Conduct a literature review to detennine the state of
practice for design and construction of three-sided culverts. ::2) Develop methodologies to evaluate when
potential scour problems may occur. 3) Develop appropriate guidelines and countenneasures to address
the potential scour problems associated with three-sided culverts.
