SCOPE OF WORK CTN Yr25 - SMART University of Kentucky Performance Period: 7/1/2024 – 2/28/2025 As a Sub-Investigator for Semaglutide as Methadone treatment Adjunct for the treatment of OUD: A pragmatic Randomized placebo-controlled Trial (SMART), Dr. Lofwall will serve on the Executive Team for this study, providing her expertise in medication procedures. This includes training and mentoring study sites on how to properly dose and administer Semaglutide, helping to oversee study implementation particularly in regard to medication procedures, and fulfilling her role as the medical investigator on the FDA 1572 for this multisite study conducted on an IND. Dr. Lofwall will work with Dr. Winhusen and his team to develop the protocol for submission to NIDA CCTN for approval. In Year 1, Dr Lofwall will devote 15% of her effort for this project for 8 months (1.2 CM).
