Grants and Contracts Details

Description

We hypothesize that weanlings with high antibody titers to L. intracellularis will subsequently sell for significantly less at public aution as yearlings than other yearlings by the same sire. We will also identify potential risk factors for EPA using a survey submitted to farm managers as a condition for their farms' involvement with this study. Once completed, this study will provide important new information regarding the impact of this newly emerging disease on the Thoroughbred industry.
