Sexual Minority Healthcare: Tools for the Patient Centered Medical Home

The overall goal of this project is to create and disseminate web-based continuing education modules on LGBT health for health care providers. The modules will be designed to be appropriate for rural health providers working in interdisciplinary teams, which make them different from existing modules; they will be developed specifically with this audience in mind for maximal impact. The providers will be incentivized to access the modules through the availability of continuing education (CE) credit. The modules themselves will be developed in conjunction with UK students, offering an educational opportunity to these students that in turn broadens their own understanding of the unique health needs of the LGBT community.
