University of Kentucky, College of Social Work Pandemic Relief – Foster Youth Supports UK will provide support services for CHFS’ foster youth pandemic relief efforts. Kentucky received supplemental Chafee funds to provide temporary pandemic relief to current and former foster youth. • Provide Pandemic Relief Navigators and Housing Support Specialists to provide support services to eligible current and former foster youth. • Purchase e-Visa gift cards for pandemic stimulus payments and incentives for eligible current and former foster youth. • Facilitate the payment of speakers as needed for monthly Master Classes. • The Pandemic Relief Navigators will confirm eligibility for pandemic relief services by utilizing TWIST. • The Pandemic Relief Navigators will make timely contact with eligible foster youth to discuss available relief resources and make appropriate referrals for services. • The Housing Support Specialists will establish collaborations with Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and landlords across the state in an effort to increase available housing for current and former foster youth. • The Housing Support Specialists will collect data on outcomes of current and former Youth participating in FYI and FUP programs across the state.
