SFY24 Adaptive Response Initiative (ARI) (CL 32)

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The Department for Community Based Services Adult Protective Services Branch, in collaboration with the University of Kentucky College of Social Work (CoSW), will deploy the APS Self-Neglect Adaptive Response Initiative (ARI). ARI is an integrative, transdisciplinary pilot project aimed at adroitly responding to self-neglect referrals. The overarching purpose of ARI is to improve the overall well-being for those referred for possible self-neglect. The project focuses on the need to respond to self-neglect referrals more creatively. Specifically, research suggests the need for wholistic, adaptive responses that meet targeted needs. Such a response requires an initial assessment strategy that is rooted in meaningful client engagement, communicative partnerships and shared decision-making, and service referral efficiency.
