Description

This task will be modified in two ways. First, we will shift effort away from microarray analysis to confirm the temporal dynamics of the regulatory genes identified and instead, focus on quantitative PCR. This allows us to cut back on bioinformatic labor support and also reduces molecular labor support in the later years. Second, we will remove studies involving experimentally altering transcriptional regulation by targeted growth factor application in vivo and instead, move to directly reprogramming axoloti cells as proposed in Task IV, subtask I. This will provide the necessary functional test of the quantitative transcriptional models.
