Description
The objective of the UK wheat-breeding program is to increase profitability of wheat production in Kentucky by releasing wheat varities with high yields, high test weight, and resistance to economically significiant diseases such as head scab, leaf blotch, glume blotch, left rust and stripe rust. We also focus on important agronomic traits like straw strength, freeze resistance, earliness, as well as acceptable milling and baking quality.
