Description

The objective of the UK wheat-breeding program is to increase profitability of wheat production in KY through development and release of high yield, high test weight, early maturing wheat varieties with effective resistance to head scab, leaf blotch, glume blotch, leaf rust and stripe rust. The improved varieties we develop are also lodging resistant, spring freeze tolerant, and have acceptable milling and baking quality.
