Speciation and Spatial Distribution of Cr, Cu, and As in Bulk and Rhizosphere Soils Adjacent to CCA Treated Fences throughout the Landscape

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Micro-focused synchrotron XRF, XANES, XAFS, and XRD will be used to probe the Cr, Cu, and As speciation and distribution in bulk and rhizosphere soils found adjacent to pressure treated wood fences along a topohydrosequence through the KY landscape in an effort to ascertain the influence of soil physiochemcial properties, landscape position and plant root activity on the mobility and bioavailability of these metals.
