Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Using available LIDAR data from various parts of the state, DSS will make some initial tests of the capability of Arc GIS’s Feature Analyst 5.0 and similar softwares to recognize certain key surface features identified as desirable by KyTC’s Division of Environmental Analysis. This is will, in turn, inform the potential for DSS to conduct systematic GIS surveys to build inventories of landscape features such as mounds, ring forts, historic properties, land uses, cemeteries, sinkholes, and so forth, of interest to the DEA.
