Description
This project will analyze the KYTC project closeout process and apply lean constmction, Six Sigma,
and Civil Integrated Management (CIM) priociples to streamlioe and expedite the closeout of a
project. Similar initiatives by state DOTs have resulted in savings of 25 staff-workdays per year
(CDOT). With these practices, the process will also become less time intensive and more
manageable with the current staffing levels at KYTC.
