Description
OBJECTIVE: To conduct, upon request, short-term research investigations and analyses, and
provide timely response as required to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Also, initiate new
projects, as requested, that are expected to continue into the ne,'l:t year with additional funding being
allocated as appropriate.
BACKGROUND: Frequently principal investigators are called upon to conduct nnforeseen
investigations that include material performance, construction procedures, and the forensic
evaluation of highway /bridge infrastructure. These investigations may vary in complexity depending
on the situation and infotrnation desired.
