SPR 21-107: Long-Term Monitoring of Experimental Features

The performance of many new techniques utilized on a variety of highway projects may not be realized during installation or even during the near-term after construction. Provisions are generally made for short-term evaluations of experimental/test features as a part of the project. However, provisions are not usually made for long-term evaluations despite them providing information on long-term performance at relatively low cost. This study will work with representatives from various Cabinet Divisions to select projects for monitoring during FY 2021 and select other projects that may be monitored during future years.
