Grants and Contracts Details

Description

In our organization analysis, the START committee identified areas of our organizational infrastructure that required upgrading in order to implement audience development strategies. In increasing our presenting with two new series targeted to specific audiences of the disinclined, it is necessary to maximize our understanding of the demographics, purchasing habits and interests of these potential patrons. The implementation of audience development projects will require expanded equipment that will range from on-line ticketing capabilities, computer hardware and software, to a server for improved internal communication. The Singletary Center for the Arts had a KPAN consultancy in Technology Planning by Dwight Newton on Wednesday, July 23 and Friday, July 25, 2003. Through this consultancy, a plan was developed for a streamlined process that reduces our manual collection of data for program and organizational evaluation and documenting our increased audience participation. We will develop our technology in order to help eliminate barriers to the inclined. An example of this is having information readily available on our website and preparing a list serve to keep patrons informed about up-coming events.
