Description
Continue the operation of the State Injury Prevention Program (SIPP) located within the Kentucky Injury
. Prevention and Research Center, University of Kentucky School of Public Health.
Objectives:
1) Maintain a state-of -the-art, population based, public health injury surveillance system that provides
injury data for state and local agency needs;
2) Operate a community-based injury prevention program that focuses on the major causes of
unintentional injury among Kentuckians and the regions of the Commonwealth where the injury
problems are most prevalent; and
3) Continue the development of a violence prevention program that focuses on preventing intimate
partner and fa
