State Justice Statistics grant program

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Dr. Young will serve as a statistical consultant on a grant for the Kentucky Statistical Analysis Center under the State Justice Statistics Program. Funds from the grant are being used to conduct a statewide criminal victimization survey. Dr. Young will provide his professional opinion on the sampling design employed for administration of the survey. The Statistical Analysis Center will then collect and organize the data into a format that can be easily read into standard statistical software packages. These data will then be provided to Dr. Young, who will help construct (i) appropriate weights for the results and (ii) implement a methodology for non-response bias. Dr. Young will also provide advice on other statistical issues that might arise during the administration of this survey.
