Strengthening Community & Technical Colleges Training Grants

Abstract This project is a collaboration among University of Kentucky Healthcare, Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC), and the Area Health Education Center mission within the Center for Interprofessional and Community Health Education. The Center partners with these entities to develop a strong and collaborative heath workforce for the commonwealth of Kentucky. The Center has a long history of implementing successful summer programs for high school students that provide them with the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to achieve their goals as members of the health workforces. Our role in this project is to utilize a train-the-training methodology to assist BCTC develop and implement summer camps that will achieve this same goal of positively impacting the health workforce.
