Description
Abstract
This project aims to perform studies to examine the impacts of connecting a large number of
PEVS to TVA grid. Potential problems such as overvoltage, undervoltage, overloading,
frequency excursions will be identified. Critical penetration level beyond which unmanaged
PEVs will cause serious problems under potential operational scenarios will be identified.
Potential solutions based on managed smart charging schemes will be researched and
proposed for TVA''s consideration.
