We are asking two big questions about cover crop rye and corn.
1. How much additional nitrogen fertilizer is needed to overcome the N tie-up
from the rye?
2. How much does the risk of seedling diseases increase with cover crop rye and is in-furrow fungicides and/or starter fertilizer necessary to ensure an adequate stand?
