Description
The role of the Southern SARE 1862 land-grant liaison is to strengthen the connection between the SARE program and the land grant university system in the Southern region to enhance ag professionals’ effectiveness in supporting efforts to make farms and rural and urban communities more sustainable.
The goals of the role encompass the following objective: To increase understanding/interest/participation in sustainable agriculture across the Southern region; To assist in identifying new ways to innovate sustainable agriculture technologies and practices; To collaborate in efforts to strengthen SARE program/community partnerships; To support efforts of diversity, equity and inclusion in agriculture.
