Description

The subcontract to the University of Kentucky is to provide half time support for W. Rao, the beamline technician for X-26A. Mr. Rao has worked as the beamline technician on X-26A for more than 10 years supported by funding from DOE and USEPA to Paul Bertsch. As a beamline technician, Mr. Rao is responsible for working with the principal scientist, A. Lanzorotti to provide technical operation and maintenance of the beamline including setup and alignment of experimental apparatus; training of beamline users; instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting; design and fabrication of mechanical beamline components; and electronics design, fabrication and troubleshooting.
