Abstract Task Order #8-IRP Project Management & Communications 12/1/2025 - 9/30/2028 PI: Brian Howell Co-I: Jennifer Walton The purpose of this task order is for the Kentucky Transportation Center (KTC) to provide project management, communication, and other support services for the International Registration Plan (IRP), Inc. KTC will serve as a project manager and key enabler for IRP, Inc. in its goal to sustain and continually improve a robust IDR platform for motor carriers, jurisdictions, and law enforcement. The IDR serves as an authoritative source of licensing and vehicle registration data for motor carriers, and this comprehensive platform serves the motor carrier community, including law enforcement, by using technology to collect, distribute, and validate CMV credentials for compliance and safety. In this capacity, the IDR has and will continue to support FMCSA’s stated goal to leverage “technologies to improve CMV safety through enforcement” (National Priority Descriptions, 5.2). KTC will provide general support to IRP, Inc. with project management services and communication support involving the IRP Data Repository (IDR). KTC will also support the IRP ITDS Manager and related ITDS Committee. Some key roles may may include: • Identify key topics and concerns • Collaborate with and assist the ITDS Manager • Help develop proposed meeting agendas • Assist in development of meeting minutes (as needed) • Provide general support services to the ITDS Committee
