Technology Assistance with Implementation and Operation of Transportable Array Element of USArray and EarthScope

IRIS/USArray identifies the following specific objectives for technical support of the Transportable Array from the awardee. These tasks anticipate the needs of the network in eastern Kentucky and central Tennessee in 2011. USArray intends to install 24 stations within eastern Kentucky and central Tennessee. The tasks identified support the identification and reconnaissance of most of these stations. Supporting materials are prepared by USArray staff and include an introduction to EarthScope and USArray for landowners, descriptions of operation,and sample permit forms (requests to sign permits occur at a later time and do not involve students). Additional material maybe produce by the awardee with assistance provided here as support.
