To conduct field studies for the acquisition of real-world data and additional lab-controlled studies
Layman's description
Findings indicate that individuals are more willing to donate to male recipients compared to female recipients on donation platforms (e.g., GoFundMe). This unusual effect is driven by the nature of donation requests and the boost in warmth one receives when asking for help. As women are expected to ask for help - due to their more communal nature - they are not perceived as higher in warmth. However, as men are not expected to ask for help, they are given a warmth booth, which increases donation willingness for men.
